My name is Rachel, I’m 26 years old and I have an unhealthy addiction to Mini Chocolate Weetabix.
From August 2012 until March 2015 I worked in academic publishing at Taylor and Francis just outside Oxford. Then, in April 2015, I followed my dream of living in Berlin and moved to the German capital to teach English to adults in order to gain the English teaching experience required to work in English Language Teaching (ELT) publishing. Through some bizarre stroke of luck, this madcap plan worked out and since mid-January 2016, I have been working at Oxford University Press as a Digital Project Manager in the ELT division.
I loved blogging in Berlin so much that I wanted to continue, so this is the continuation of the story… Who knows how it’ll turn out!
If you’d like to read more about my experiences on the Cambridge CELTA course, how I got a job as an English teacher and how I found teaching as a newly-CELTA-qualified teacher, then my Berlin blog is called berlingo18.wordpress.com.
Pontificating is good for the soul. Good luck in your new role. Brevity BLOGS are brilliant says Bailey who never practices what he preaches. Amen.
